A note from the creator
Thank you for joining me in the Cycles of War Universe. Cycles of War has been a labor of love for way too many years for me to admit to. But I think it’s finally ready to share with people and let them decide if I’ve created something that they’ll enjoy.
It started as an idea for what I called a “CD enhanced comic book”. Theater of the mind has always fascinated me. So I envisioned a graphic enhanced novel with a 30’s style radio production that you listen to as you read along. This turned into two actual novels and a series of shorter books called Combat Diaries. Several of these will be out in the coming year, along with updates regarding the Siege game and its release.
I’m planning on doing the CD production for Combat Diaries. After all, I was the OG
Narrator and Captain Ginyu on Dragon Ball Z. Remember “Next time, on Dragon Ball Z!”?
And to that, thanks to all the fans who enjoyed what I did and who come out to meet
me and say hi. You guys are great!
The games from the Cycles of War Universe are for people who enjoy games of strategy and combat. They reflect the lore created in the books and the stories of the Combat Diaries. 28 days of Combat. Invader Vs Defender. Fighting with dice and collectable trading cards. It’s a game designed to be easy to learn but hard to master. Like chess, once you learn how the piece’s work, it becomes a game of planning and strategy. As few as 2 players or as many as 30 can play using just one game.
The Siege game is your entry into the Cycles of War Universe. It’s designed to teach players all of the combat aspects of the Universe. The Shandakar player picks a Town to defend. The Core player picks a Ship to invade and attack with. Each player then builds a Combat Groups to fight their opponent using dice and cards as their weapons. Each trading card is unique, and features multiple bonuses and interactions that can affect the game in such a way that no two are the same.
I hope you enjoy playing the game as much as I did creating it. This manual is designed to give you the most fun and excitement from Cycles of War Siege Warfare game. If you play each level until you’re ready to move on you’ll find the game will get more challenging and rewarding as you go.
Thanks again!

THE WORLD OF CYCLES OF WAR
INITIAL OVERVIEW
Shandakar is a planet on the edge of Galaxy M-997-224. It has been settled by humans, whose ancient ancestors traveled thousands of years across interstellar space to distant galaxies in search of new homes.
Unknown to the humans at the time, the all-powerful Core Collective controlled almost half of M-997-224. Like an unrelenting lava flow, the Core has steadily conquered and absorbed system after system, all in the name of peace and security.
However, the planet Shandakar has a surprise that not only trapped the humans, but makes conquest by The Core a problem. Because of its suns proximity to its binary neighbor the resulting interstellar radiation fields bombarding the planet makes controlling electricity impossible. Except for a period of 28 days happening every 33 years, when the gas giant SK Prime’s orbit blocks these effects.
This means the Core’s only opportunity for conquest exists during The Cycle, which lasts approximately 28 days. They must invade and kill or capture as many of the population as they can. Then get off world before their time runs out and the chips kill them all.
